Thomas Vogt

is a distinguished German guitarist whose artistic work is rooted in both classical Spanish and Latin American music. Throughout his career, he has played a leading role in several renowned ensembles, notably the Cuadro Sur guitar trio, as musical director of the Freiburg flamenco ensemble El Jaleo, and as a member of the Argentine tango group Brisas del Sur.

Thomas Vogt studied guitar with Fernando Fernandez-LaVie at the Conservatoire National de la Musique in Strasbourg and with Sonja Prunnbauer at the State University of Music in Freiburg, graduating with honors from both programs.

Early on, he developed not only his skills as a performer, but also his passion for teaching and production: he has been working as a guitar teacher at the Offenburg Music School since 1982.
He also runs his own recording studio (“TeFau-Studio”) in Freiburg, where he works as a producer and sound engineer.
